Biodiversity:

    Biodiversity is the degree of variation within or among  species that exists in different regions of the earth.

Biological Classification:

   The scientific procedure of arranging organisms into a series of groups and sub-groups based on their similarities and dissimilarities.

Homologous organs:

   Organs that are similar in structure but different in function are known as homologous organs.

Analogous:

   Organs that are different in structure but similar in function are known as analogous organ.

Taxonomic Hierarchy:

The taxa are arranged in ascending order and form a hierarchy called the taxonomic hierarchy.

Deforestation:

   The cutting down of trees for the conversion of forests into non- forest land is known as deforestation.

Species:

   A group of organisms capable of interbreeding and producing fertile offspring is known as a species.

Mycelium:

Mycelium (plural mycelia) is a root-like structure of a fungus consisting of a mass of branching, thread-like hyphae.

Hyphae:

   The cell wall of multicellular eukaryotic fungi is made up of thread-like structure called hyphae.
